The Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Peloponesse focuses its efforts at contributing to Science and Art, aiming at Excellence.It tries to strengthen the Youths and the Local-or even wider-Community with Ideals, Targets and the Know-How as far as the multi-dimensional capacity of Theatre, Arts and Education are concerned.
The Post-Graduate Studies Programme (PGSP ) "MA in Drama and Performing Arts in Education and Lifelong Learning" started in September 2014. It has, since then, been saluted with raving Enthusiasm in the Scientific and Artistic Fields. For Greece, it is a novelty programme, primarily concerning Theatrologists, people working in Education of all Levels and Fields of Knowledge, Psychologists, Sociologists and, in general, Specialists from the Humanity Studies Sector. It may also concern other Fields of Interest, since its techniques can be applied worldwide, not only on Education and Lifelong Learning, but also on Scientific and Artistic Fields, starting from Medicine ( Doctors' Training, Patients' Treatment and Creative Time Supplementation), Architecture, Biology or Physics, and reaching as far as Economy and Enterpreneurship (CEOs, Organization, Administration). We are talking about the Development of Experience Learning Procedures concerning a lot of Cognitive and Artistic Fields, the Management of Groups, of Conflicts and of Aggressiveness, the Development and Formation of Personality, the Development of Cross-Cultural,Environmental and Bio-Ethical Consciousness , and , finally, of Dynamic Interaction ,through techniques of the Art of Drama in Education.
