DIMITRIS DIMITRIADIS
He graduated from the Department of History and Archaeology at the University of Thessaly, completed a master’s degree in archaeological research at the University of York, and finished his doctoral dissertation at Panteion University on the teaching of history through theater-based techniques aimed at the intercultural education of fourth-grade elementary school students He has performed in concerts in Greece and Cyprus as a member of the band Magic de Spell, and has created and presented two of his own productions at street theater festivals, in indoor and outdoor theaters, as well as in open-air cultural venues. He has completed three years of theater workshop courses and two years of puppetry training. He has worked through a program at the University of Thessaly as a theatre educator in Roma communities in Nea Smyrni, Larissa, and has taught two semesters of independent study at the International University of Thessaloniki; and as part of this teaching, he has supervised undergraduate theses. During the 2022–2023 academic year, she was an academic fellow in the Department of Preschool Education at the University of Crete and conducted research on collaboration between parents and preschool teachers. During the 2022–2023 academic year, he was a research fellow in the Department of Early Childhood Education at the University of Crete, where he conducted a study on collaboration between parents and preschool teachers. He has taught in the graduate program on the integration of drama into education in the Department of Theater Studies at the University of the Peloponnese and is a member of the Myrtis integration team in education; she has also taught in the graduate program in creative writing as well as at the undergraduate level in the Department of Theater Studies at the University of the Peloponnese. He is currently conducting postdoctoral research titled “Utilization of Floor/Table-Based Experiential Play to Enhance Intercultural Skills” in the Department of Preschool Education at the University of Thessaly.
EFFIE ZAGARI
Effie Zagari completed her undergraduate studies in Classical Philology at the University of Patras and then moved to England, where she earned her master’s and doctoral degrees. She subsequently conducted her postdoctoral research at the University of the Peloponnese. She has worked as an adjunct lecturer at universities in England and Greece. She taught Ancient Drama in the Department of Theater Studies at the University of the Peloponnese. She has participated in numerous conferences around the world, delivering papers on Greek and Roman literature. Her publications include a monograph and articles on ancient theater, as well as edited volumes of Roman literature.
KONSTANTINOS KYRIAKOY
Konstantinos Kyriakou is a director, actor, playwright, translator, and cultural scientist. He holds a Ph.D. in Theatrology (Distinction) from the Department of Theatre Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), where he was an HFRI scholar (Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation). He also earned his Master’s Degree (Distinction, top graduate) from the same department. He studied Theatre, Hellenic Culture (top graduate and scholar), Expressive Communication, and is fluent in five languages.
He lectures as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of the Peloponnese, while he also lectured at the School of Drama (Faculty of Fine Arts) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2020, he co-founded, along with Katerina Bilali, the Theatre Company THEARTES. He has served as the Artistic Director of the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus Festival, The Dynamics of Greek Speech in the Theatre, and as the Artistic Supervisor of the ESPA Educational Programs at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus.
He was honored with the «Karolos Koun» Award by the Union of Theatre and Music Critics in the «International Theatre Repertoire» category for his direction and performance in the theatrical production of «Ay, Carmela!», and with a Commendation for Writing a Play for Children at the 2024 State Playwriting Awards for his work: «Iliodyssey (The Complete Homer in One Performance)».
Professional Experience: As a director, he has staged more than thirty-five theatrical productions, theatrical events, and online documentaries. As an actor, he has performed in more than forty-five theatrical productions, collaborating with the National Theatre, the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus, the Municipal and Regional Theatres (DIPETHE) of Agrinio, Volos, Kalamata, Crete, Roumeli and Serres, as well as with several free-lance theatre companies.
Writing and Translation: He has authored twelve theatrical plays, three of which have been rewarded and seven of which have been staged. He has translated more than seventy theatrical plays, some for the first time into Greek. More than forty-five of his translations have been published and twenty have been staged in various theaters in Greece and Cyprus. Five of his published translations received awards and funding from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy.
Academic and Editorial Work: He has published a monograph and two books of scientific studies. He has edited various collective volumes and has also edited and written the "Introductory Notes" for dozens of books of theatrical works, both his own and those of other Greek writers and translators. Furthermore, he has published articles in various scientific and literary journals and theatre programs and has participated in numerous international scientific conferences with his presentations.
IOANNA LIOUTSIA
Ph.D. from the Department of Theatre Studies at the University of the Peloponnese, with a research focus on political performances in the Balkans (1970–2000). Graduate of the Department of Theatre at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (specialization in Directing), History and Archaeology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (specializing in Art History), and the “Contemporary Theater V. Diamantopoulos” Higher Drama School.
She works as a director, actress, playwright and theater educator, and since 2013 has also been active in the field of performance art, highlighted by the award of third prize in the performance art category at the 2021 Florence Biennale for her artwork “Every Day Is Women’s Day.”
Since 2012, she has been publishing articles regularly on topics related to theatre and literature.
Her research interests include the sociopolitical dimension of art, performance art, critical art, and methods of combining theory and practice.ς.
