Theatre Education Programmes for School Groups: A Visit from Lygourio Secondary School

A wonderful and creative encounter with students from Lygourio Secondary School took place today at the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of the Peloponnese, as part of the Department’s Theatre Education programmes designed to welcome school groups and introduce them to the Department and its activities.

The Theatre Education programme, designed with the age-related and developmental needs of secondary school students in mind, focused on the theme of school life. Through drama activities, introductory games and collaborative exercises, students had the opportunity to communicate, express themselves, build relationships and discover different aspects of themselves through their encounters with others.

The main objectives of the programme were to foster a sense of belonging, active participation and collaboration, with particular emphasis on the joy of shared creative experiences.

The programme was designed and facilitated by Katerina Kosti, member of the teaching staff of the Department of Theatre Studies.

The Department of Theatre Studies warmly thanks Lygourio Secondary School for its trust and for this wonderful encounter, and looks forward to further creative exchanges with the school community.
