According to the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE), systematic, structured, and continuous commitment to quality requires the organisation of an internal system of principles, criteria, and regulations, the proper functioning of which is certified through periodic internal and external evaluation processes. The Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP), a central administration body of the Institution, holds the responsibility and competencies for the internal quality assurance of each Higher Education Institution. The external quality assurance of the Institutions is carried out by HAHE, which has assumed, at a national level, the responsibility for supporting and implementing the evaluation and accreditation processes of HEIs. The primary objective of HAHE is to establish a uniform framework for the quality assurance of education and research within HEIs at a national level, and its alignment with the standards and guidelines of the European Higher Education Area.
