Submission of Material for the Annual Review of the Department of Theatre Studies

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to remind you of the call for submissions for the inaugural edition of the Annual Review of the Department of Theatre Studies, which concerns the academic year 2025–2026.

The Annual Review aspires to become a permanent institutional medium for recording and showcasing the educational, research, artistic, and social work of the Department, thereby contributing to the enhancement of its outreach and public visibility.

In order to allow sufficient time for the preparation and submission of material, the final deadline for submissions has been extended until Friday, 31 July 2026.

At the same time, we would like to inform you that the editorial team intends, where deemed appropriate, to make use of press releases, announcements, and related material that have already been published on the Department’s social media platforms or website, in order to document as comprehensively as possible the work of the academic community.

If you do not wish specific published material to be used, please inform us accordingly by the submission deadline.

Furthermore, if there are activities or press releases that have not been published on the Department’s website or social media platforms and that you would like to be included in the Annual Review, please send them to us together with any relevant supporting visual material.

The editorial team also plans to include brief profiles or interviews with emerging scholars. If you would like to nominate doctoral candidates, postgraduate students, or early-career researchers whose work you believe deserves to be highlighted, we would be grateful if you could suggest relevant individuals, accompanied by a brief justification or description of their work.

Guidelines for the Preparation and Submission of Material

3. Length and Style

Texts should normally be between 300 and 500 words in length. Contributions should adopt a descriptive, informative, and clear style, avoiding evaluative or promotional language. The language of submission is Greek, although brief English titles or terms may be used where appropriate.
