Message from the Dean

The School of Arts at the University of the Peloponnese, which is comprised by the Department of Theater Studies and the Department of Performing and Digital Arts, is dedicated to excellence and continuous advancement in the scientific  fields served by the two  Departments as well as to artistic and educational innovation. 
For our School, arts and sciences are defined as broad and intersecting fields, branching out to multiple applications and research paths. Interdisciplinarity, intermediality, and  artistic cross-overs underpin the pioneering degree programs offered by the two Departments both at undergraduate and graduate levels. These programs are further divided into specializations that respond to contemporary global developments in theater studies, the performing arts, digital arts, new technologies, interdisciplinary research, and artistic practice. 
The diverse national, local, and international collaborations as well as the rich activities of the School’s Departments have established it as a hub of knowledge, artistic and research activity aimed at promoting science and art in conjunction with their social and human role at a time that calls for critical thinking, faith in civic values, and creativity.
