The programme is addressed to students of all three grades of General and Vocational Upper Secondary Schools, as well as trainees attending Vocational Training Institutes in the Regional Unit of Argolis. It offers participants the opportunity to attend classes at the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of the Peloponnese with the aim of:
-learning about the field of study and academic profile of the Department of Theatre Studies; and
-becoming familiar with the university teaching and learning environment, allowing them to experience first-hand the exciting reality of university life.
The programme includes:
-Attendance of university classes;
-Information about the Department’s curriculum and study programme;
-Guided tours of the Department’s facilities;
-Meals provided on the Department’s premises.
Interested students may attend classes during the afternoon teaching hours (12:00–18:00), provided that:
-parental or guardian written consent has been obtained in the case of minors; and
-the Teachers’ Association of their school has approved the participation of its students in the programme.
During their visit to the Department of Theatre Studies, each “Student for a Day” will be accompanied by the programme coordinator, Dr Katerina Kosti, Special Teaching Staff member of the Department. Visits and activities will also be supported by undergraduate students acting as “fellow students for a day”.
Participation requires the submission of written parental or guardian consent (Declaration pursuant to Law 1599/1986), bearing an authenticated signature or issued through the Greek government platform (
gov.gr), confirming their agreement to their child’s participation in the “Student for a Day” programme of the Department of Theatre Studies.
