At the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of the Peloponnese, a wide range of drama and theatre education initiatives are developed each year. These initiatives aim to strengthen both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of students preparing to work in education as theatre educators and drama practitioners, while also promoting the Department’s engagement with the wider community and fostering links with educational institutions.

Within this framework, numerous collaborations are carried out with the active participation of students enrolled in theatre pedagogy courses focusing on applications in primary and secondary education, as well as in community and social settings, with particular emphasis on inclusion and creativity.

Programmes are implemented in schools of all educational levels, kindergartens and childcare centres, as well as in museums, prisons, nursing homes, hospitals and other community-based institutions. In addition, festivals and special events dedicated to Theatre/Drama in Education are regularly organised.
