The Accessibility Committee of the Department of Theatre Studies (T.S.) of the School of Fine Arts at the University of the Peloponnese (UoP) was established and operates following the decision of the 122nd meeting of the Department Assembly of the Theatre Studies Department, University of the Peloponnese (19 February 2025).
The mission of the Accessibility Committee of the Department of Theatre Studies (Access4stu_ts) is to ensure the effective implementation of equal access to academic studies for students with disabilities and/or special educational needs. The activities of Access4stu_ts also address students with learning difficulties or serious health conditions.
More specifically, its services concern students with disabilities certified by a public authority, including:

Mobility impairments

Sensory disabilities (deafness, hard of hearing, visual impairment)

Neurodevelopmental disorders (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder – ADHD, learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, Autism Spectrum Disorder – ASD)

Speech and language disorders (dysarthria, stuttering)

Mental health conditions
-
Serious medical conditions
The above students will hereafter be referred to as students with disabilities (SwD), in accordance with Law 4957/2022 “New Horizons in Higher Education Institutions: Enhancing quality, functionality, and the connection of HEIs with society, and other provisions.”
The objective of the Accessibility Committee is to meet the basic needs of students with disabilities, such as interpersonal communication with members of the academic community, note-taking support, assistance with written assignments, access to university buildings, printed and digital educational materials, online content and IT applications, as well as teaching aids in classrooms and examination procedures.
