PROGRAM FOR EXTERNAL AUDITORS

The Department of Theatre Studies of the School of Fine Arts at the University of the Peloponnese has been operating continuously for more than twenty years in the city of Nafplio, a place closely associated with culture and the arts. The Department, thanks to its innovative curriculum, which integrates both theoretical and practical approaches to Theatre Studies, has already established a strong presence in Greece’s academic and cultural landscape.

Its aim is to develop into an educational and cultural centre, not only for the city of Nafplio but also for the wider region of Argolis, promoting collaboration and interaction with local residents.

Within this strategic framework, each academic year residents of the area are given the opportunity to attend courses of the Undergraduate Programme of Studies as external auditors. Upon completion of their attendance, they are awarded a certificate of participation. The programme aims at the dissemination of scientific knowledge and at raising awareness among participants on topics covering a wide range of fields addressed by the Department, extending from ancient theatre to contemporary Greek and international theatre, art history, music, as well as courses on theatre in education and Drama in Education.
