LEARNING OUTCOMES By the end of the lectures students have learnt to think on and interpret in a rational way the most important milestones in the history of European Civilization from the Renaissance till the 20^th century. The knowledge they have acquired and the critical conversation about the factors that have shaped the contemporary identity of the European Civilization have substantially contributed to the acquisition of their ability to think in a critical way. They have also been acquainted with the historical data that have formed the basis of European identity. They are able to recognize the most significant milestones of the history of European Civilization (Renaissance, Reformation, and European Enlightenment), they can locate the most significant regions and distinguish the cultural from the political boundaries of Europe.
