The preparation of a undergraduate thesis is optional. For students admitted from the academic year 2019-2020 onwards, it corresponds to two (2) free elective courses. For students admitted in the academic year 2018-2019 and earlier, it corresponds to four (4) free elective courses. Consequently, it counts for either eight (8) Credit Units (CUs) and 10 ECTS credits with a weighting factor of two (2), or sixteen (16) Credit Units (CUs) and 20 ECTS credits with a weighting factor of two (2). Therefore, the thesis grade is multiplied by a factor of 2, while the remaining courses are multiplied by a factor of 1.5, and the sum of the individual products is divided by the sum of the weighting factors of these courses. Students who choose to undertake a thesis will take two (2) fewer free elective courses during their 3rd and 4th years. The timely and successful completion of the course "Methodology of Theatre Studies Research" is a prerequisite for undertaking a thesis in the 8th semester.
