Course Description

The course focuses on the creation of artistic work and its presentation in alternative exhibition spaces. The final outcome of each artistic project is its public presentation in art venues, festivals, theatres, and other cultural contexts, with the aim of supporting students’ professional visibility and the development of a high-quality portfolio or showreel. The course explores video art and theatrical staging, with an emphasis on the interaction between image and performance, as well as narrative structures in visual media. Students are trained to create work intended for public exhibition, engaging thoughtfully with audiences and the social context in which their work is presented. An additional objective is the broader dissemination and visibility of the academic institution within the field of arts and letters.

After the successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • demonstrate an understanding of the history of photography;
  • practice basic image-making techniques and introductory principles of lighting for framing;
  • be introduced to video art and its creative methodologies;
  • develop foundational skills in audiovisual composition and narrative-image interaction;
  • create artistic work suitable for public exhibition and portfolio development.
