Course Description

The course aims to help students identify and understand the key concepts, techniques, and directing styles through the work of major theatre directors of the 20th and 21st centuries. Through theoretical presentations, rehearsals, and performance practice, students develop both analytical and creative skills in theatre directing.

After the successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • integrate theory and practice in the creation of artistic work;
  • collaborate effectively within group-based creative processes;
  • develop critical thinking and self-reflection skills;
  • make informed artistic decisions;
  • demonstrate respect for diversity in creative environments;
  • act with professional responsibility;
  • document and critically articulate their artistic and theoretical positions.
