The course encourages a creative approach to the concepts and practices under study through processes of deconstruction and reconstruction, in relation to each student’s individual interests and experiences. This aims to highlight the flexibility and diversity of the field and to foster personal engagement and further exploration of the subject.

After the successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

• identify and relate key figures and themes that characterize the development and field of contemporary dance; 
• situate these within a broader socio-political context, taking into account specific spatial and temporal conditions; 
• use their theoretical and experiential engagement with selected movements and concepts as a foundation for further research.
